Rudi van Aarde and Stuart Pimm are working to improve elephant populations. Together as professors at the Conservation Ecology Research Unit, University of Pretoria in Johannesburg South Africa, they have studied African Elephant populations and developed an interesting and multi- country approach to land conservation, so existing herds might increase in numbers.  Pictured from left to right are: Stuart Pimm, Theo Wassenaar, Rudi van Aarde and Robert Guldemond.
