Hebrews 2:5–9 warns pressured, professing believers that the most dangerous path is not loud rebellion but quiet neglect, drifting past so great a salvation. The preacher of Hebrews anchors that warning in a coming reality: God has not subjected the world to come to angels, but to redeemed humanity under the true Man, Jesus Christ. Psalm 8 exposes the tension we all feel, because man was crowned for dominion, yet we do not yet see all things subjected to him in a world still scarred by sin and death. But their is hope! Why? Because we see HIM -Jesus! Humbled for a little while, crowned through the suffering of death, and by the grace of God tasting death for His people.
