In the Bible, the Pharisees were a religious sect that made a habit of making long prayers and fasting. They did religious acts to be seen by those around them. Even today it's easy to live by rules & regulations and precepts in regards to our christian journey. Jesus wants to know you and have relationship with you. Instead of making a religious show on the outside, He wants you to receive His love and let His word change your heart and motives.
