Legalism was the sin of the Pharisees, and it’s still alive in the church today. Not only in fundamentalist churches, even the NAR isn’t immune. While it may look different from one movement to another, feeling the need to “perform” good enough for God leads to a life of guilt, shame & condemnation that can take years to heal from.
