Ruminate
is the act of repeatedly thinking about distressing thoughts, memories, or experiences in one's mind. It often makes me feel stuck or trapped and is usually related to social interactions and trauma. Rumination can have damaging consequences, such as difficulty concentrating on more important tasks. Music can be an effective tool for managing thoughts. Making music has allowed me to reduce stress and anxiety. It helps distract my mind from negative thoughts and provides a sense of control and triumph.
