When love withers
and no nurturing can
allow re-growth
when evenings are
completely spent
before night even falls
when snoring replaces
pillow talk
and a warm bath
starts to look really good
when the television
takes priority.
and interruptions
of any show
draw wrath
when small mistakes
became monumental.
when kisses are
a tight lipped
turning away too soon
when all approaches
are detoured.
when sighs are
like a voice choir
in the rafters of your house
when panties are just laundry
when "I love you's"
are spoken and the silence
remains unbroken
when tears are dried up
and no more can be coaxed
when your heart
is a raisin
in the glare of
his or her
heated glances
when sex becomes only
the first part
of sex-tuplets
and seven has been
four for far too long

when hard means attitude
and cuddling is some
time with your puppy

get as far away as you can
