L.A.-formed Run River North have evolved from their original seven-piece lineup to a trio, now featuring Alex Hwang, Daniel Chae and Sally Kang. With two full-lengths under their belt, they entered 2019 preparing for another new release, Monsters Calling Home Vol. 1, an EP that shares a name with the opening song from their 2014 self-titled debut. The 2019 EP features all new arrangements, though, including a song co-written with Grouplove. The band stopped by the Paste studio last month to play two other songs from the EP, "Casina" and "Rearview," plus "Wake Up" and "Funhouse."
