Most of us accept that life lessons are a part of the deal. I'm starting to see that maybe those lessons are also about the bigger picture. Perhaps the things and desires that we want and don't achieve are there to help us help others. This past week I was invited to speak to students at Notre Dame in the entrepreneurial program. What I shared with them wasn't about success. It was about the hard lessons I had learned. I wouldn't have been invited to share if I hadn't had those lessons. This episode is about viewing our story from a longer lens and trusting that everything good or bad happening to us is a part of the plan for us to contribute to others.

Ready, Set. Reset!
It's mid-January, and stats say 68% of us have already given up on our NY's Resolutions or think our goals may not be attainable this year.
The holiday season is an excellent time for reflection. Taking a note from the beloved classic A Christmas Carol, we will explore the power of contemplation. Walk with me as I explore the self-imposed chains I will lay down this year. Maybe you can relate. What can we leave behind as the gift we give ourselves for our future?
How committed are you to your goal or dream? Do you have an escape plan, or are you locked in, no turning back? To get there, you have to be all-in. Today's podcast talks about the need to 'burn the ships!' ⛴
The past hurts sometimes, but we have a choice. We can either run from it or learn from it. Are you living your mistakes? When are we going to stop canceling ourselves?

What keeps us from starting something new? Is it a fear or concern for how bad we might be at first? How might others view us?
How often do we permit ourselves to suck at something? Or even just be average at it. I share how the fear of being mediocre has been an obstacle in my pursuit of goals.
Let’s look at what thoughts and fears get in the way of our success.
