In this panel presentation guest speaker Dr. Mohsen Attaran, Professor of
Management at CSU Bakersfield discusses the applications of Blockchain Technology in Business such as:
-Cryptocurrency(Bitcoin)
-Supply chain logistics
-Asset management
-Decentralized networks
This hour-long virtual event is part of a series organized by CSU Bakersfield's Business Research and Education Center, School of BPA. The Virtual seminars and panel discussions cover current topics of interest to benefit the campus community.
Professor Attaran's research agenda lies in the interface of operations, knowledge management, and information technology. He is the author/coauthor of four books, over 120 peer-reviewed research papers, and ten commercial software packages.
Much of his current research is focused on studying technology and its societal impacts and identifying the implications for individuals and businesses. Moreover, he is interested in issues arising in the operations of internet-based markets.
He is founder and president of IES, Inc. a Web and Mobile App Development Company. He also has founded, launched and managed several businesses in his career in a variety of technological fields including a Telehealth Doctor Visits, a subscription based virtual business, and a few non-profit organizations.

Dr. Joseph I. Castro serves as the eighth chancellor to lead the California State University (CSU). He is the first Californian and first person of color to serve in this role.
