This week on Everybody Loves Naples, we’re joined by Mitch Norgart, President of Gulf Coast Runners (GCR)—the nonprofit at the heart of Naples’ running community. Since its founding, GCR has grown into a cornerstone organization promoting fitness, fellowship, and youth development in Southwest Florida, awarding over $855,000 in scholarships to local students.
Mitch shares the history of the club, its mission, and the major races that bring thousands together each year. We highlight two of Naples’ most iconic events:
Barron Collier Companies Naples Half Marathon — a USATF-certified qualifier and one of the region’s most competitive and scenic races.
