🎙️🍌 RUNNING FOR BANANAS — EPISODE 6
What do you call someone who has run 5Ks, marathons, 50Ks, the Disney Dopey Challenge, the Sydney Marathon, and then decided running wasn't enough and became an IRONMAN?
Apparently, you call her KIM “POSSIBLE” MILLSAP! 🍌🔥
Kim is a Bartow County native, Woodland High School graduate, wife, mom, and Certified Nurse Midwife. She's spent her career delivering babies—but these days, she's also delivering some serious pain to herself on race courses around the world.
From Cartersville to Cloudland Canyon. Disney to Sydney. And most recently, 140.6 miles at IRONMAN Chattanooga. 🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️
Kim joins us to talk about the adventures, challenges, questionable decisions, and determination behind taking on some seriously ridiculous endurance events.
Because apparently…
Running for one banana just isn't enough.
🍌 She doesn't just Run for Bananas…
SHE RUNS FOR EVERY BANANA ON THE PLANET.
Runner. Coach. Co-founder of Wire2Wire Running. David Matherne has managed to find several different ways to make running take up entirely too much of his life—which, naturally, makes him a perfect guest for Running for Bananas.
David brings a unique perspective to the conversation. He knows the sport as a runner putting in the miles, a coach helping athletes develop, and a co-founder of Wire2Wire Running, helping build a community around the sport.
And apparently, we had a lot to talk about.
So much, in fact, that one episode wasn't enough.
This is two-part2 of the conversation.
There are stories, opinions, plenty of laughs, and a few detours along the way.

In this two-part conversation, we talk running, coaching, developing young athletes, building Wire2Wire, and what keeps us coming back to a sport that rewards all our hard work with early mornings, tired legs, questionable race decisions—and, somehow, the desire to do it all again.
Running for Bananas, Episode 4: Jenn Bonn
What makes someone a runner? Is it chasing a fast 5K, coaching the next generation, running for two straight days—or simply discovering what running can bring to your life?
For Episode 4 of Running for Bananas, we sit down with Jenn Bonn, a runner whose experience stretches from 5Ks all the way to 48-hour ultramarathons. Jenn is also a longtime cross-country coach, writer, and author of The Healing Power of Running: A Guide to Healing the Body, Mind, and Spirit. (https://a.co/d/0bqPyDfM)
We talk with Jenn about running, coaching, ultrarunning, and why the sport can become about so much more than times, miles, and finish lines.
Whether you're chasing a PR, heading out for an easy run, or wondering why anyone would willingly sign up to run for 48 hours, there's something in Jenn's story for you.
🎧 Episode 4 drops next week.
