Every James River Greyhounds reunion features a "marshmallow run", a called run down a linear gallop. At one end we're slipped. At the other is a "squawker" which sounds a lot like a varmint call. When we were growing up and in training, we did marshmallow runs regularly to build speed and strength for the show. Now that we're retired, we do them for bragging rights. I was clocked at 35 MPH which is not too bad for 2 years off the track.
