Chapter 1:
-Yesterday, in a turn of events that no one could have scripted, two former Trump heavyweights either pleaded, or were found guilty, of multiple felonies. Michael Cohen, Trump’s long time fixer and former attorney, admitted to eight charges, including paying off women at the direction of Trump to stay silent ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Chapter 2:
-Airbnb hosts are opening their homes free of charge to residents who have been displaced by the dozens of wildfires burning in British Columbia. Airbnb has activated its Disaster Response Program in the Okanagan and Vancouver Island until next Wednesday, giving not only displaced residents, but firefighters and volunteers a chance to find a temporary, and free, place to stay.
Chapter 3:
-Canadian novelist and journalist Patrick Blennerhassett moved from Vancouver to Hong Kong, and was told that two things are certainties; the heat, and the exorbitant price of rent. Hong Kong has the dubious distinction of being one of the most expensive cities in the world. So how do attitudes towards the crazy rental market differ in the two cities, and what is Hong kong doing about its housing bubble?
