He received his MA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and his PhD in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include prison and jail reentry, rural criminology, risk assessment, the impact of marijuana legalization, and evidence based policies and practices.
