We are extremely happy to welcome our house friend, Edgar Peng!

You might recognise him through some of his various projects like Turmspringer, RAS or Robert Galic. As part of the Berlin underground scene for the past 2 decades, people can clearly see his afro house, hip hop and nu-jazz influence on this great ep: You.

YOU is the 1st cut of the ep. The track has a hypnotic feel all around with clear stabs and chords that follow an endless conversation between each other, round fx, and a sharp hi hat. Later the ride uplifts the entire meaning of the song. The fat sub bass glues it all together in a marvelous way.

This can easily fit into a classic Berlin after hours making it memorable & epic.

On the other hand, LOS CABRA delivers an extremely interesting remix from YOU. This Argentinian duo (formed by Christ Burstein and Manuel Sahagun) received international attention after their releases on the BAR 25, RKJVK, and GOLDEN GATE. They imprint their afro vibe, a playful bass strung together with different textures. Some Moog sounds & percussion creates an incredible atmosphere offering an almost offbeat groove. It also offers spaced out vocal cuts that give this number a unique sound.

Last but not least, NYX! This is the moment that you should open the old cognac, put on that old red silk coat, and start enjoying. Every sound is where it should be: a soft pad, gentle cowbell, and pitched strings. This long stab shows the way to this intrepid track. The retro vibe is everywhere! NYX is one of those fine deep tracks that is rare to find. The percussion on top is light and kept under control.

Empty Shelter is the fusion between @Du_Sant and @Miino-Block, 2 recognised minimal producers from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who decided join forces working on this project as a duo and trust me, the combination of both sound imprints is a true outstanding quality Techno.

They’ve been releasing their music since 2010 on labels such as Krad Records, La Boheme, minim.all, Loob Label, HDR Limit… and of course Rural Records, where they remixed Christ Burstein’s (@djchristb) “Knowbody Knows” on our very first release almost a year ago now, and which remains still on the Top 2 of our most sold tracks on Beatport.

We also had the pleasure to interview Imbernon during last Sonar edition and he shared with us some interesting thoughts as well as a recap of his beginnings and his evolution as a DJ and producer over the last years, which has lead to position him as one of the main references of not only the spanish but the international music scene.

With a main focus on high-quality electronic music, they’ve been rocking the Stockholm techno scene since 2008 in clubs such as Slaughter House and the Southern Theater / Kägelbanan and line-ups that feature names such as Octave One, Anna, Mark Reeve, Advent, Mikael Jonasson, Sasha Carassi, Gary Beck, Gregor Tresher, Alan Fitzpatrick, Oliver Huntemann and the list goes on.

Spinning records since the 90's and beyond their own clubs, they have played all around including Secret Island Nation Festival, Birgit & Bier, Ritter Butzke and Golden-Berlin in Berlin, KB18 kødboderne and Culture Box in Copenhagen and countless clubs in Goa and Mumbai, India.
