Most people, when facing a terminal diagnosis, engaging at least some kind of self-reflection and try to right the wrongs of their life. Not rush. He has decided to stay hateful and divisive to the very end. He doesn't want or believe in any better world then what we have now. He says that the left and the right can't coexist. But then, he's always been a hateful, ignorant s***heel. I don't know why I expected anything different. Maybe because when one has spent their life dividing a country and sowing the seeds of hate between parties, one would expect that any decent human being would have some regrets about that. But I guess we know once and for all, we are not dealing with a decent human being.
The conflict between the parties right now is not about left or right, it's not political at all. It's about right and wrong. Many of the Republicans in my life are still politically aligned with Donald Trump on certain issues, but they no longer support him because there is a limit to the level of criminality they are willing to tolerate in order to have someone in office that they are politically aligned with. That concept used to describe the majority on both sides but not anymore. We have, in part, Rush Limbaugh to sync for that very deterioration of the moral fiber of this country.
That is his legacy.
