The episode is based on the story of Rishi Durvasa. He got angry with Devraj Indra and out of his acute anger he slapped a very serious shrap to Devraj Indra. To get rid of this accidental shrap Devraj Indra approached Bhagwan Vishnu. Bhagwan Vishnu adviced him to conduct Samudra Manthan.
