Gary Antuanne Russell returned to Maryland after his rumble in Rio.  The judges\’ decision did not favor Russell even after knocking down his opponent Fazliddin Gaibnazarov. However, he is still the people\’s champion.  Many supporters and family gathered at Dave & Buster\’s in Capital Heights, Maryland to welcome Russell home with hugs, kisses, and much love.  Russell says \”I won\’t forget this moment.\”  A warm welcome was given by Russell\’s mother. She was overjoyed even though Russell felt he let her down along with his fans. Attendees reassured Gary Antuanne Russell that he fought like a champion and he is still the people\’s champion.
