Following media reports that Iranian naval vessels are en route to South Africa to participate in the Mosi naval exercise alongside Russia. The DA’s spokesperson on Defence and Military Veterans, Chris Hattingh, says the presence of these sanctioned states contradicts the country’s stated foreign policy. He also warns that these exercises will strain crucial relations with major trading partners, such as the United States of America.
