The story of Ruth is ultimately a story about how God uses normal people to outwork His wonderful plan and works all things together for good. Through the faithful obedience and courage of people like Ruth and Boaz, we see God’s redemptive plan at work that changes all of human history.

In Ruth chapter 2, Ruth encountered significant generosity and provision from Boaz – a man of character who exhibits godly kindness (hesed). Whilst others would possibly ignore or even attack, Boaz sees and offers kindness. Boaz is the answer to the prayer that Ruth prays and ultimately, an example to us of how God is our Provider.
