Get to know one of the Nations’ 9th of Av Jewish Partners, Ruth Guggenheim of Emunah Israel and Emunah Angels!

Ruth was an evening speaker at Nations’ 9th of av conference last year in Jerusalem. It was at the conference that the “seed” for an idea and vision was first launched: “Emunah Angels”, a new branch of World Emunah, where Christians can connect with the Emunah family in Israel. We are saying, “Come and be a part of the Emunah family”. But we also are saying “We want to be a part of your family also.” We realized one of the things we could offer and share is the beauty of the Jewish Challah bake.

Ruth also shares about the Emunah Counseling Center based in Sderot and the tremendous impact they are having on the residents of Sderot, who live only 1 mile from the Gaza border. Sderot residents only have 15 seconds to get to a bomb shelter when the alarm goes off. Many of the Sderot residents suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. The Emunah Counseling Center provides 24/7 crisis services, therapy and counseling to cope with the situation in Sderot.

There will be a counselor from the Emunah Counseling Center who will be speaking at the Nations’ 9th of Av conference this coming summer. What can you do to be blessing to the people of Israel and to those living in Sderot?
