In this week’s Ruth Bible study, we slow down and look closely at Ruth 2:1–3, a passage that reminds us how often God works quietly behind the scenes.

Ruth takes a simple, faithful step — going to glean in the fields — and Scripture tells us that she “happened” to come to the field of Boaz. What looks like coincidence to us is often careful providence in God’s hands.

This passage encourages us that even when our days feel routine or uncertain, God is already at work — directing steps, arranging provision, and writing a bigger story than we can see.
