What is it with ruthless compassion? We see it and celebrate it when we hear instances of such examples... then be it stories of Steve Jobs, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Le Corbusier or Mahatma Gandhi...we have seen them being ruthless (and at times almost heartless) with their pupils. Is the seemingly paradoxical phrase the basis for something genius?
