Lowe is simply being true to character. When they left the dinner table, they told everyone it’s because the only Vampyre in their midst— his wife, Misery— needs to feed. They’re here on a mission though and that’s just an excuse. But right at the moment they’re about to be caught, he makes her do it.

When Misery confides in her twin brother later about what she did, he’s shocked. “The Vampyres and Weres have been mortal enemies for centuries. How come he allowed that?” She’s warned that feeding makes the parties involved develop feelings. Now Lowe is acting drugged and won’t leave her side.
