Ryan Davidson was born and raised in Caldwell, Ohio. He went to Ohio Northern where he studied political science, broadcast journalism and social studies education. Ryan left for study abroad in Scotland in 2006 where he met Lydie, his now wife. They have two kids, Maxime and Abigail. He teaches high school history and economics at an American school in the Netherlands.
