Ryan Willard- Prevention Education Coordinator is a father to a 2yo and a 4mo. He holds a Bachelors in Elementary Education from SVSU and has worked in the local school system as a teacher and substitute teacher for 10 years. He is trained as a facilitator for the Making Parenting a Pleasure Curriculum and has facilitated 15 complete classes. Mr. Willard is trained in Stewards of Children provided through Darkness to Light. He also oversees the Media Safety Program for youth and adults with 20+ presentations and workshops done in the 2019-2020 school year. Mr. Willard has been implementing different prevention education programs including Berenstain Bears Learn About Strangers for 1st graders, Safer-Older-Smarter for 2nd graders, and Safe Baby for middle/high school students. He also works in partnership with Saginaw Police Department’s PSN Committee providing services to former inmates integrating into society. Ryan Willard also works for the READ Association where he is the Raising Readers Academy program director which works with children and parents on reading strategies at home.
