HipHop ‘80s During this period, Hip Hop grew from a local phenomenon into a major worldwide musical and cultural force. Our music was characterized by its diversity, quality, innovation, and influence, and for me HipHop was a major influence with artist Run Dmc, Mc Shan, LL Cool J, Mantronics, Beastie Boys, Just Ice, Sir Mix-A lot, 2 live Crew, UTFO, and so many more great artist. HipHop is 50, and throughout the years we’ve grown together. Long live HipHop!
