Many can remember their hopes, dreams, and goals from childhood, but to say it and do it is a whole different story. When Former National Champion Nebraska Cornhuskers Wide receiver & Current Central High School Assistant Football Coach Abdul Muhammad talked to his mom while living in their Compton, California home when he was 10, he stressed that he would go to Nebraska and play football. The journey through making sure he was at the correct local high school to play against some of the best athletes California had to offer, getting his offer from Nebraska, and not only playing all 4 years but then coming back and being a part of the coaching staff would lead this young man down a road he wouldn't ever forget the influences, leaders, coaches, and support to help him be successful. After all the fun in the 90s, Coach Muhammad decided his role in mentoring, leading, and providing opportunities for many local Omaha Kids with the help of the Boys & Girls Club organization. Now trying, with the new coaching staff at Omaha Central High School, he will use his relationships with parents and players to bring the Eagles back to dominance and get the opportunity again to enter Memorial Stadium, this time for a High School Championship.
