We sit down with the new Skutt Catholic High School and Former University of Nebraska Kearney Head Baseball Coach Damon Day as he takes the next step to return full-time to the sport he loves. Imagine running your ideal job for 15 years to have an Athletic Director advise you that "Your team will no longer be needed" in a sport that has been around at the University since 1905, as they cancel the baseball program completely. The emotions, feelings, thoughts, and actions that come from this are something you can't say I know how you feel until you have lived it. But after a 5-year hiatus from that disaster, you find the redemption that gets you back in the game, and you get to watch and grow again with your family at the same school.
