From playing the game to beginning the coaching realms at Ord, Nebraska, you must leave the Omaha Area to get back in as a Head Coach. We sit down with Papillion La-Vista Monarch's former Head Football Coach Gene Suhr, who talks about his 23 years at PLV and other adventures before and after, as he is still providing a little football mentoring to a few local programs. We go into detail about the growth of the Omaha area and how this will affect possible future football programs with open enrollment and new high schools. This coach has helped on multiple levels, like Class C and Class A locally, along with a few options on the next level, like at Wayne State College. Leaving the game has been the hardest decision, so he has returned to the game he loves even after two retirements.
