As you're going through life, are you learning the ups and downs of the sports you love and making connections that will help get you where you want to be, or are you just hoping things happen? Living life and learning lessons on the ice and off will create a version of oneself that is either behind everyone else at your age or skyrockets you to know you have to be a professional in everything you do. We sit down with former local hockey player Alex Rich and his father, Jonathan Rich as they guide us through the journey from getting on the ice at the young age of 2 to becoming a player for the Carolina Junior Canes, who plays in the United Premier Hockey League Elite Level. The experiences and lessons this 17-year-old has learned up to this point are well beyond his years, and he has a bright future, whether it's playing more hockey, getting a college degree, or one day becoming the pilot he hopes to be.
