Our expectations of our children can cause conflict in the relationship. It’s not uncommon for us to compare ourselves to other parents and compare our children to other children. Parents can easily feel like failures, yet we know all families have their own struggles. The good news is as we change our beliefs and our expectations we begin to heal ourselves and our thoughts transform with a desire to "connect" with our children rather than expecting perfection.
