We move on to Chapter 2 of our horror story.
Isn't is strange that in the first sentence of Chapter 1 Mr. Utterson the lawyer is described as "a man of a rugged countenance, that was never lighted by a smile; cold, scanty and embarrassed in discourse; backward in sentiment; lean, long, dusty, dreary, and yet somehow lovable," an yet he is not so much embarrassed in the discourses we have seen him in so far? Must be something to do with judging a book by its cover, as the Pagemaster told us not to do.
I hope that by now you know what the title of our story is. If so, please write it in the comments below.
Have you heard, or read this version of the story recently? Have your assumptions of this story, like mine, been tainted by the modifications Hollywood has provided to this base material?
May-hap I am ahead of myself with these assumptions, as we have yet to meet the titular character. We shall see together. Or you can read the free online PDF yourself, to finish the story before All Saints day.
Enjoy your Friday! And all the days you can! Muha ha ha haaa
