Three Stephen Malkmus fans begin a long journey through the music of a great man, Stephen Malkmus, and a great band, The Jicks, in order to determine what their collective favourite song is.

In the inaugural episode, Paul Carlin, Christopher Gallagher and Mark Edwards discuss eight tracks, with four progressing to the next round.

There will be drama, there will be arguments, there will be one-upmanship; most of all, however, there will be excellent music.
