On the morning of the 7th October 2012, I walked into my apartment and found my best friend fully-clothed and unconscious
in the bathtub. The water was up to his neck and he was making strange, gurgling sounds. A toppled over bowl, a half-drunk bottle of soda and hundreds of pills were scattered all over the floor. That day and what came after it, will be forever imprinted on my brain.
It has taken me eleven years to finally talk about this. I’ve wanted to share my story many times, but it hurt too much to recount what
happened. It still haunts me to this day and yet I know my experiences may help other people and even prevent the loss of life. So here we are.
