Lazarus Theatre Company - Spotlight on

S01:04 Spotlight On: Bobby Locke

Listen Later

This week Ricky & Gavin talk to Lazarus Associate Bobby Locke. Bobby Locke is a composer and music supervisor, who has worked on projects in theatre, film, dance, and animation. Bobby’s Lazarus journey began in 2016 when he joined the company to compose a brand new score of Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle in collaboration with Neil McKeown which played at the Jack Studio Theatre. He then went on to revive his duties when that production transferred the following year to The Greenwich Theatre. Also in 2016 Bobby composed a new score and songs for our production of John Gay’s The Beggar’s Opera with Chris Drohan, 2018 Bobby composed music and songs for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and in 2019 followed up his Shakespeare exploration on the Tempest working with sound designer Sam Glossop. As we went into lockdown 1 we were collaborating on a new score with new songs for our now postponed production of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan!
