In our fourth episode of Two Guys One Paper, we had a coffee with Maria Risager Nielsen and she told us about her master thesis, which she spent doing participatory research in Greenland. This resulted in an article in the Études/Inuit Studies journal titled Impacts of Climate Change on Youth’s Place Attachment: A Case Study of Tasiilaq, East Greenland. She also talked about this in the context of ongoing decolonization discourse. Maria is currently a research assistant in the Danish Centre for Environmental Assessment research group at Aalborg University, and is working on social impact assessment and gender in relation to energy and mining projects.
