There is a major misconception about candid photography in India. This week I did a poll in my instagram stories. I asked a question Is candid photography dependent on gear? 

I was expecting quite a few yes in the poll but by the time poll ended. More than 70% voted that it is dependent on gear. I think the number would have been more higher because quite a few of my followers are my peers and photography enthusiasts. They voted no. 

What is your view about candid photography ?

Do you also feel it is heavily dependent on the gear of photographer?
