A soulful power house, heavily influenced by 90’s/2000’s RnB & soul sensations such as Alicia Keys & Brandy. Mikyla Cara combines both old school Neo-soul/RnB melodies and stylistic features, with a more contemporary style of writing.   
Growing up, Luton-born Mikyla sung from a very young age, mostly mimicking other artists, then later began developing her own sound through writing and vocal arrangement/production. 
As a self described empath, she sings with an emotive sound; this, combined with her ability to enable her personal experiences and pain to transpire in her songs, means her writing is often described as relatable and from the heart.
