A long-missing ship looms, lopsided, just beyond the Bay of Whitewyrm. Popular local nobleman Bad Ryan says it's his, is full of treasure, and he wants The Fellows Bold to help him get it back. After Fellows Jac, Lucis, and Wanderheart humiliated him when he came to collect his missing magic item (the Bone of Truth - at the end of the last chapter), and with Acting Command Officer Mrs Thomas having to answer some difficult questions down at City Hall, the Fellowship has no choice but to take the job and try to salvage Bad Ryan's ship - and their relationship. There should be some gold in it, too.
