As children we are born into a preassigned role.
A role where we rely on our parents to take care of us emotionally, financially and physically. As time passes by we go trough our own experiences and this molds us into unique adults, this causes the dynamic with our parents to change.
For some becoming an adult means having your own beliefs, ideals, opinion and being in touch with your own emotions or possibly being financially independent from your parents.
But how do you go about this change with your parents? How do show them that you are also an adult and now their equal? How do they experience letting go of being the parent as the dynamic continues to change in their retirement? What happens when they need to rely on you emotionally, financially and physically because now you are the adult?
