Sheryl Benjy is an artist, art educator and creative coach based out of Beverly Hills, CA. Her series “Body Art for the Soul” expresses her desire to help women see themselves differently. Sheryl’s work draws inspiration from cultures such as Native American and Eastern traditions. Sheryl brings ritual and the tradition of the healing practice of body art to the modern world. Sheryl’s art has a very whimsical quality to it with hidden messages about the universe, unconditional love, positive symbols and affirmations. She believes we are all here to accomplish our soul’s destiny and that we must bring as much light into this world as possible with our gifts and talents. Her abstract fluid pieces represent the flow of life and the universe. She also incorporates salt and sometimes sugar to give her art a more textured look. The salt and sugar also symbolize the yin and yang in life. The sweet, happy moments and the sad tearful moments. Sheryl has been painting, exhibiting and selling her work privately from Beverly Hills since 2013. Recent exhibits include: The Chocolate and Art Show, Art Landing and Beyond the Lines Art Show and exhibitions in Rome and Frosinone, Italy. Sheryl has also been published in Voyage LA Magazine featuring her body paintings or Body Art for the Soul. Sheryl was also featured in Vanity Fair UK Magazine for her fluid abstract pieces. She has also written and illustrated a children’s book titled “Spirits Magical Journey”. “The Creative Spirits Podcast” was created and launched by her in 2022.
