The best coaching conversations hang on some robust underlying structure. Structure that provides the necessary focus, direction and intentionality.  But there are moments when what matters most is to set aside the plan for a moment. To notice instead what’s going on emotionally for the person you are coaching.  To make space for that, lean into it and engage with ‘fierce compassion.
