Pennsylvania School for Excellence in the Ag Sciences:
PSEAS will operate as four-week residential program of intensive study in the agricultural sciences at the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) at the University Park campus. To be eligible, students must have completed the eleventh grade during school year 2017-18 and be headed to attend twelfth grade in the fall of 2018. The deadline is February 15th, but will consider an extension upon request.

Bridging Horizons PA Competition:
The Bridging Horizons PA Contest provides an opportunity for the Pennsylvania FFA Association to make a positive impact by completing a project that helps to enhance independence and promote success for farmers with a disability or long-term health condition.

The Mechanics of Teaching Ag Workshop:
This Penn State Teach Ag workshop focuses on the power, structural, and technical systems AFNR content standards and is intended for any student interested in becoming an Agriculture teacher. The first 30 students registered will receive a Teach Ag Mechanics Essentials kit. Registration closes February 28th.

New Century Farmer Conference:
During this intensive five-day conference, July 8-14, 2018 in Des Moines, IA, you will network with industry experts, presenters and other aspiring farmers while attending a series of workshops and sessions discussing topics ranging from the global marketplace to farm financing, consumer trends and managing risk. The application process for the 2018 program will open Dec. 15, 2017 at 8 a.m. EST. and all applications must be completed by Feb. 15, 2018 at 5 p.m. EST.
