Happy Independence Day to - well, a lot of countries actually. The Fourth of July always gets me thinking more about home. While the US will always be "home", I just didn't feel like I belonged there anymore. I love being excited to be there and if I LIVED there I did not get that feeling. I didn't want to resent it and so it has been so much better for me having a little distance.

With that distance has come a few realizations as well.
