Belinda Hawkins has reported on national and international events for ABC TV and SBS TV for 35 years, filing from countries as diverse as Nigeria, Eritrea, Cambodia, Cuba, Bulgaria, Germany and Russia.
For the past 20 years she has been a senior journalist with ABC TV’s Australian Story program. Her documentary work has been recognised with a raft of awards. Among them are two Walkleys, ten Quills, including the Gold Quill, four New York Festival Medals, two Victorian Legal Reporting awards and fiver United Nations Media Peace Awards.
