In Canto 7 we descend into the circle of avarice, then down another level to wrath (and sloth)! We discuss how these apparently different vices do belong in the same Canto because they are different approach to conflict: conflict over something, conflict for its own sake, and conflict avoidance. We also see how we can become addicted to conflict even though it's so unpleasant.
