The topics of idealism and cynicism come up a lot in law enforcement circles - understood often as if they are polar opposits. Idealism is viewed as dangerous. Cynacism can come to mean safety. Chaplain Lou argues there's a better way to look at life, because life - especially a law enforcement officer's life - is never that simplistic.
