S1 E3 Liquid Assets

Listen Later

S1 E3 Speaker: Mark Felstead, Guest: Oscar Rossbach In the third episode of Liquid Assets, host Mark Felstead interviews Oscar Rossbach from Dutch Clean Tech on the water conservation measures in Mexico City. They discuss the problems of scarcity and pollution, the use of ozone generators in water treatment, industrial and residential water waste, and how Dutch Clean Tech is addressing these issues. Rossbach also highlights the supportive role of the Netherlands Embassy in Mexico towards promoting Dutch water treatment tech. Value Bombs 1) 80% of the city's water treatment plants are not working! 2) Water is being wasted at the rate of 86 million litres per day – that is the water from 35 olympic sized swimming pools, or enough to fill the Aztec Football stadium every three days, literally going down the drain. 3) There is a water crisis as never been seen before as although there is enough water, it is simply too polluted to be used.
