After failing to restart the starfighter's engines or gain power for the twin light laser cannons she possessed, Tad tosses down the unused power cell. Seeing its volatile potential as a makeshift explosive, Vickers chips away at a weakened mechanism at one corner of the hangar door with his vibrosword, making just enough space to push the power cell through. However during this process, his weapon snaps, piercing his suit below his left shoulder. After a less than enthusiastic attempt by Gyd to patch a hole in the spacesuit, Vickers discovers he is now on borrowed time as he levels his blaster at the power cell and blows a hole in one corner of the door. A successful slice or two later, and the door opens to reveal a dimly lit passageway into the heart of the structure. Will the crew of the Titan's Mercy find an adequate patch for Vickers' suit in time? Will they discover the missing smuggler and unravel the mystery surrounding the asteroid?
